Obviously as a production company, we have the ability to professionally edit video. On occasion we assist clients with the editing off video they bring to us. It may be something they shot themselves on vacation or at family event, video they found on an old VHS tape, or perhaps video they had converted from another format.
Video editing can be done for a variety of reasons.
- Restoring or improving audio and/or visual quality of original video.
- Adding some audio effects such as background music, voice overs, or narrations.
- Inserting photos, graphics, into the video.
- Adding pointers, highlights, or text overlays within the video to highlight something, identify someone, or explain something.
- Merging several videos in to one, cutting sections out of video, or developing a custom timeline/sequence to meet your objective. (Over the years, we’ve added missing participants into videos and event and purposely cut others out.)
Once your video edit is complete, we can help with the distribution. If you need help placing it on your website or YouTube page, putting it on a CD, DVD or Blu-ray and making duplications, etc. we can help!
While we can work with most video formats and input devices it is very important to note that the final output quality is very closely related to the quality of the footage provided.
Media Transfer
With technology changing at an ever increasingly rate, it’s hard to keep up or even maintain the things you cherish. Over the years we have worked with a variety of media from floppy discs and zip drives to CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs and a variety of client owned cameras and storage devices to assist clients by developing an individual system for them to not only preserve their memories and allow them to view them.
We currently digitize slides, photos, and VHS tapes (Standard and VHS-C) using our in-house equipment. If you have other media already digitized or old cameras and/or devices with your media, we may also be able to assist you with conversions to current formats.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not transfer video from super 8, or any other film media. We do have local partners specializing in these services if you require a referral.
Once media files and formats are converted, we can assist you storing your files by placing your files on a media of your choice. Some of the more common options today include:
- DVD (Bulk DVD Duplication services are also available.)
- Blu-ray
- CD
- Portable Hard Drive – Flash Drive
- Upload to cloud storage accounts of your choosing
- YouTube-Vimeo-Facebook
We know how important it is to care for these items when they are in our possession. Our team treats them as they were their own and we work hard to return them as quickly as possible. On occasion we are call upon to quickly access something, convert it, or perhaps edit it for a funeral, legal proceeding or other event where time is of the essence.
